Some radio models like the SL300/7550 require speaker microphones with additional power to ensure the speaker has loud, clear volume output. Without the additional power source (i.e. onboard battery), conventional speaker microphone speakers typically have low and/or distorted Rx audio, making them virtually useless for common applications.
Weve added a battery pack in order to use a higher output speaker to maintain the volume output and quality needed in most applications. The mic utilizes an LED power switch and the onboard battery is compact, lightweight and fully rechargeable with the supplied USB/Mini-USB charger cable.
